If you still have an archive of old audio CDs and would like to digitise them, asunder under Linux is a simple but powerful tool. After installation, a number of parameters can be defined under Settings. These include, for example, the structure of file and folder names and the desired output format. Title information, if known, can be retrieved from a central database via an integrated CDDB query. Finally, the import can be started via the Import item. This process may take some time. Installation routine: »apt install asunder«.

Mousepad aims to be an easy-to-use and fast editor. Our target is an editor for quickly editing text files, not a development environment or an editor with a huge bunch of plugins. On the other hand we try to use the latest GTK features available, which means that if GTK adds something new in a major release that is useful for the editor, we will likely bump the GTK dependency and integrate this new feature in Mousepad.

Zim is a graphical text editor used to maintain a collection of wiki pages. Each page can contain links to other pages, simple formatting and images. Pages are stored in a folder structure, like in an outliner, and can have attachments. Zim handles several types of markup, like headings, bullet lists and of course bold, italic and highlighted. This markup is saved as wiki text so you can easily edit it with other editors. Because of the autosave feature you can switch between pages and follow links while editing without worries.

VSCodium - FOSS binaries of MS VSCode https://vscodium.com/
VSCodium is a editor similar to Brackets and Microsoft's VSCode. The VSCodium project exists so that you don't have to download + build from source. This project includes special build scripts that clone Microsoft's VSCode repositories, run the build commands, and upload the resulting binaries for you to GitHub releases. These binaries are licensed under the MIT license. The telemetry is disabled.

PDF Arranger is a program for manipulating PDF files. Using an intuitive graphical interface, PDF documents can be merged and split very easily, and their pages can be rotated, cut or re-sorted. PDF Arranger is a fork of PDF-Shuffler, which is no longer included in the package sources from Disco Dingo on. PDF Arranger is a frontend for PyPdf2 or pikedpdf and is licensed under GPLV3 (or higher).

QtQR - QR code generator, reader and editor https://launchpad.net/qr-tools
QtQR can convert URLs, business cards, text, email addresses and much more into a QR code. QtQR can also decode data from a QR code, either from an image file or via a connected webcam. It works as a front-end for qrencode. The programme is very easy to use. Firstly, you select a data type on the left-hand side, e.g. e-mail or URL. You then enter the data in the corresponding text fields and QtQR automatically generates the corresponding QR code each time you make a change. On the right-hand side of the programme, you can first set the parameters of the QR code (error correction, border width and dot size). Below this, the QR code is generated and below this the programme offers the option of saving the QR code as an image or reading in an image from a file or with the help of a webcam.
